Completely out of left field

Big Bro (while eating breakfast): why can't you build a house with your mouth?

We-eellllll... as I did say, not wanting to be totally discouraging, you could do it, but it would take a long time. And you would have to be careful of your teeth when lifting heavy things like bricks. Hands would work much better. He seemed satisfied.

Hmmm... good point. I forgot about the bricks. LOL. Cappers asked me yesterday whether you could wear a shirt as a skirt. I said, 'of course you could, but it might be a bit uncomfortable'. Guess what she's got on at pre-school today...

LOL! Big Bro is very conservative when it comes to clothes- even the change to shorts in summer is a bit of a challenge! On the bright side, I've never had the problem of taking a half-dressed child out: a quick mention of "well, if you want to go to kindy/the shops/playgroup in your PJs you can" and he's diving into his day clothes! I am convinced however that our neighbour's two year old daughter is headed to be a fashion designer- one day she came over wearing blunnies, cargo pants, a pink skirt, an orange top and what I thought was a natty little bolero jacket, but turned out to be pyjama bottoms that she wore as a jacket. Amazingly, she looked quite stylish!
