We have told Big Bro that he needs to help us make sure the gate is shut. We are a geeky household, so we explained to him that he would be like a platelet shutting the door (platelets "shut the door" to stop the bleeding out of cuts). Big Bro is geeky enough to like this job title.Please note the egg carton sitting below the stair gate. That is Big Bro's addition to the new safety measures, because apparently it will stop Little Bro reaching the stair gate (rather than attract him over there??) Time will tell....

I'm impressed by the foam letters strategically placed at the base of the stairs to cushion the fall. LOL! No such measures taken in Ponderings household. Am I cruel to my kids or what?
We're soft parents... that's just the tip of the iceberg! Since Big Bro started standing up (or before) we have put them around the rug and couches (of course Big Bro managed to face plant off off a couch where there weren't any the other day!) The room looks so bare- and clutter-free!- when we pick up the tiles to clean or whatnot!!
They're a great source of entertainment when older children come to visit, too!
